2020 VIRTUAL DIAPER DRIVE
We are so excited to launch our first virtual diaper drive, which runs now until Sunday, December 6th.
Donate as an individual, contribute on behalf of a fundraising team, or start your own team on our GiveButter campaign.
Why Now?
One in three families experience diaper need in Nashville. That was before the March tornadoes and the coronavirus pandemic. Diapers aren’t cheap. A month’s worth of diapers costs around $85 per child, causing some families to have to decide between food and diapers at times. With the double whammy of disasters in March 2020, diaper need has skyrocketed. Prior to March we had reached a high of distributing 75,000 a month. After the disasters, we have distributed an average of 200,000 diapers a month— this increase of 125,000 diapers costs $18,750 a month. Without the help of Huggies, grants from the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, the Frist Foundation, and the United Way COVID-19 Response Fund, we would not have been able to address this need so quickly.
